About Me

I am a Security Architect. Previously, I was employed at WMU as a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst. While there, I served on the policy committee, hired an IAM Engineer and a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst, advised the CIO, Andrew Holmes, handled 24/7/365 incident response, maintained legacy C applications, and conducted penetration tests.

Interests

In my free time, I enjoy:

• Playing board games. My favorite games are Chicago Express, Spirit Island, Root, Agricola, and The Great Zimbabwe.
• Making music using VCVRack and SunVox.
• Watching films by directors like Alejandro Jodorowsky, Matthew Barney, Peter Greenaway, and Eric Rohmer.
• Reading research papers, news articles, and books about anthropology, sociology, psychology and theology, as well as fiction by Thomas Pynchon, Toni Morrison, Cynthia Ozick, Roberto Bolano, Anton Chekhov, , John Updike, Henry James, Sherwood Anderson, William Faulkner, Jorge Luis Borges, Kazuo Ishiguro, James Joyce, Gene Wolf, Vladimir Nabokov, Samuel Beckett, Saul Bellow, Hillary Mantel, Michael Chabon, and J.M. Coetzee.
• Hiking, which has been particularly challenging since I was run over with a car.
• Procuring well-made things from estate sales, auctions and at thrift stores.
